Days Out – With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, you could be wondering what to buy your loved one and how you’re going to make the budget stretch far enough to show them a good time. Days Out

Be a Local Tourist

The chances are that there are at least one or two local activities that people from outside of the area travel to. We tend to think of days out as places away from home and forget that there are plenty of things to do locally. By being a local tourist you get to avoid hefty travel costs, which can soon add up on a day out! Investigate what local tourist attractions there are & what local events are happening and get yourselves out and about in the local area for a day.

Days Out

Try Geocaching

We’re reliably informed that all the kids these days are geocaching on the weekends so it’s definitely something you could consider for a Valentine’s Day activity. There are loads of free geocaching apps that you can look at online, which will give you a set of clues to follow in order to find the specific location where something will be hidden for you to find.

Picnic in the Park

It might not be the weather for it, but if you’re feeling brave then lunch in the park can be lovely – just pick a dry day! You might want to take flasks of soup or treat yourself to some chips from the chippy in order to keep warm but a walk around the park and some lunch together can make for the perfect Valentine’s Day day out.
