Although children are often obsessed with what they want, as parents we can introduce some of what they need into the mix. Helping them set their own goals and rewarding them for achievement. Giving them a sense of achievement in their own hard work leads to a productive child. Rewarding a child for putting in the effort is more important than rewarding them for results as often as both children and adults we will come across problems in business that require repeated efforts to solve.
2 Encourage Creativity
Encouraging creativity in your child will give them opportunities to find out what they like doing, what they are passionate about and what they are willing to set goals for and work towards.
Although not specifically a business attribute, being passionate will give your child the skills to focus on tasks and goals to achieve the end result they are after. These skills will translate well into business when the need arises.
3 Take Calculated Risks
Encourage your child to take safe calculated risks, every now and then one will fail. but its important to encourage this failure as part of a larger picture. One where not being afraid of failure, or afraid to try again is much more important. It is much better for them to take every opportunity they can and of course, some will fail, but will have added to their experience. With enough experience the probability of their success in the future will increase dramatically.
