Book in Advance

Booking in advance, especially if you are able to book online this often means that you can take advantage of online discounts – which is a great way to save money, especially if have numerous activities that you want to book in during your holiday.

Get Them Involved in Your Planning

Children love to be involved, so keeping them involved helps keep them interested – and we all know that children who aren’t bored want to spend less money! Entertained children tend to be less demanding, so getting them involved in the research and planning keeps them entertained and this is a great way to save money.

Choose Your Destination Carefully

Different destinations have different price tags and the time of year that you travel has a big effect on how much things can cost you – especially in terms of travel costs and accommodation; for example school holidays tend to ramp up the price of holidays. If you are able to then travelling outside of these times can be helpful. Child-friendly accommodation often means that there is inclusive children’s entertainment and even kids clubs and in the long run these can save you money too!

Buy Snacks

If there is one thing that children can do  – it’s eat! If you’re not booked into somewhere all-inclusive then the cost of keeping children well fed can soon add up. Rather than eating out all the time and buying expensive snacks on the go, it is worth thinking about what you can pack up and take with you – some hotels will even offer a packed lunch service for you to take out and about with you. Snacks for the time you are travelling are a must too – not only for feeding the kids but for bribery when they are finding the process of travelling a bit much.
